of the Sikaflex story, Coen has visited the Sika Headquarters of Bolivia and has been assured he will be getting his fill of Sikaflex 211 in any colour as long as it is black, grey or white. They have 500 units of each, so that would be plenty to glue the whole car together and not longer needing any screws, nails, bolds or nuts. Now that is a solution to give some serious thought...
In our logbook:
Jaap [Coen's cousin] is getting married to Carla, a true 'Cochabambina' [inhabitant Cochabamba]. With seventeen guests flying in from the Netherlands and a bachelor party at the Hard Rock cafe it is sure to be a real hit. Will it all start on time? Can the newly arrived Dutch adapt to the Bolivian customs and pace or will it spark a big vendetta between the newly forced ties?
All that and more in our latest logbook story.
Enjoy reading, Karin-Marijke and Coen
'Wet and Wild' is the correct terminology for Carnaval in La Paz. Raincoats, eyemasks, super squirt guns, water balloons and foamy aerosols control the streets. Anyone is a target!
